MASTER IN EUROPEAN INTEGRATION at the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade

 

 

Two years ago, the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law started implementing the Graduate Academic Program - MASTER IN EUROPEAN INTEGRATION. This master program has received the National academic accreditation, and can enroll each school year up to 50 students. Foreign students also attend this master program: so far, one student from Albania, one from Bulgaria, two from France, and one from Turkey enrolled.

 

Graduate Academic Program MASTER IN EUROPEAN INTEGRATION represents the result of the TEMPUS JEP project "Post-Graduate Studies on European Integration - POGESTEI", which was developed in cooperation with the Consortium members from the European Union: Faculty of Law – University of Maribor/Slovenia (as the grantholder); Faculty of Law - European University Viadrina, Frankfurt/Germany; Faculty of Law - University of Insubria, Como/Italy; Faculty of Law - University of Salzburg/Austria; Faculty of Political Sciences – University of Trieste/Italy; Institute for Ethnic, Regional and Sociological Studies – ICERS/Slovenia; Institute for Ethnic and Regional Studies – ISCOMET/Slovenia.

 

The duration of the Graduate Academic Program MASTER IN EUROPEAN INTEGRATION is 30 weeks, and it is worth 60 ECTS. The official language of the Graduate Academic Program MASTER IN EUROPEAN INTEGRATION is English.

 

The tuition fee is 140.000 RSD. The fee for the students from the region of the Former Yugoslavia is 168.000 dinars (1.680 EUR), and for foreign students 2.000 EUR.

Students must attend one mandatory/introductory course – Introduction into the Studies of the EU, as well as the Practical skills course. Additionally, students opt for three courses among twelve offered courses divided in four modules. Each course has been conducted in the block of classes held during six weeks. Each student also has an obligation to write and defend one seminar paper and master thesis.

9.       EU Environmental Policy and Law – The Human Rights Aspect

Fourth Module: INTERNATIONAL ASPECTS OF THE EU INTEGRATION

10.    International Relations of the EU
11.   EU Trade Policy and the World
12.   Geopolitical Perspectives and Consequences of the EU Enlargement

IN TOTAL 60 ECTS

 

In order to become eligible for the enrollment in this program, students must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from the field of law or social sciences - humanities, with at least 240 ECTS. Students from non-legal field of social sciences - humanities, are obliged to pass differential exams in fundamental legal courses.

Students having a Bachelor’s Degree in Law with 180 ECTS are obliged to finish an additional first-year program, thus obtaining 60 ECTS. The full description of this first-year program is available at http://pogestei.ius.bg.ac.rs/  (General Rules, Article 14).  

The educational process is conducted by the prestigious academics from the Faculty of Law, University of Belgrade, in cooperation with the visiting professors from the EU Consortium faculties.

Additional courses are organized each school year, and the students receive certificates for attending them.
