Freedom of Expression and Freedom of Media in Higher Legal Education SEE Conference is an event organised by the SEELS network/Centre for SEELS, with the support of the Action “Freedom of expression and Freedom of the Media in South East Europe”, which is the part of the joint European Union and Council of Europe programme “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022”.
The Action is conceived to promote freedom of expression and freedom of the media in South-East Europe in line with European standards.
The Conference will take place in Skopje and online on 17 March and will bring together academics from universities of the 6 different universities from beneficiaries the SEE region. More specifically, this Conference will bring together professors of law and journalism to initiate debate and exchange of experiences related to the topics of freedom of expression and freedom of media and the manner they are included and taught in university curricula throughout the Region.
It will also be an opportunity for the participants to discuss the ways in which the specific JUFREX/HELP courses on “Freedom of Expression” and “Protection and Safety of Journalists” were included in their respective faculty practices.
