Call for Applications: ERC Mentoring Workshop December 2022

Dear National Contact Points,

On behalf of Rector Misha Glenny, we would like to inform you about the next workshop of the ERC mentoring initiative.

The workshops are aiming at researchers in the areas of history, anthropology, political science, sociology, science and technology studies, as well as cultural and literary studies from Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, who intend to apply for ERC Starting and Consolidator Grants. The aim is to give a small group of applicants individualized advice regarding the development of their projects’ academic content through intensive discussion with established scholars, who have served as members of ERC evaluation panels, or who have held ERC grants themselves and will act as mentors. The initiative’s workshops focus exclusively on the conception and design of the academic research projects and are meant to complement the work of the National Contact Points (NCPs) for the ERC program.

The next workshop will be held remotely on December 2-3, 2022. Participation is free; the workshop language is English.
As places are limited, please send your applications as soon as possible, but no later than October 14, 2022. A further workshop is scheduled next year.

We would appreciate if you could forward the call to potentially interested researchers. In case of any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at erc@iwm.at.

Kind Regards,
