The SEELS Network in cooperation with the Rule of Law Programme South East Europe of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) is implementing the project “Initiative for Legal Education Reform in South East Europe”.
In the first stage of the project a needs assessment will be carried out. This will be done through two surveys. One survey will target the administrations of the law faculties and the other will target all law professors (professors, associate professors, assistant professors and assistants) of civil, criminal, administrative and constitutional law in the SEELS Network (11 law faculties in 6 countries; more information available at www.seelawschool.org). The concept of the project and the draft surveys are available upon request, to be kept as confidential information.
For the purpose of carrying out this phase of the project, the Centre for SEELS will engage up to two researchers to carry out the following activities:
- Finalization of the survey methodology and the surveys for administration and staff (draft already developed);
- Placement of the surveys on online survey platform;
- Coordination and communication with the Centre’s staff and the SEELS members on collection of data;
- Aggregate, visualise, identify trends and summarise the data collected;
- Discuss together with KAS representatives the results.
The tasks are to delivered in the following deadlines:
- Finalization of the research methodology and the surveys: 10th of November 2022.
- Placement of the surveys on online platform, collection of data: 30th of November 2022.
- Analysis of results. Deadline for delivery: 15th of December 2022.
The experts to be engaged for the project should meet the following specific requirements:
- Experience and expertise in the field of reform of the legal education;
- Knowledge and skills in development of research methodologies;
- Experience in carrying out quantitative research with larger data sets;
- Excellent command in English language.
The expert(s) will be engaged total 25 working days (12,5 working days each) with remuneration of 200 eurs/per day (gross, 10% personal income tax included, all other dues and charges included) totalling 2.500 euros (gross) per expert.

The selection of experts will be carried out by the SEELS Management Board.
